Nigerian music icon David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has received widespread praise from fans and well-wishers after announcing his foundation’s support for 500 orphanages across the country.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Davido shared the news, highlighting his foundation’s impact in 2025.
“My foundation was able to help over 500 motherless babies’ homes this year… We go again next year!” he wrote.
The announcement has since sparked admiration across social media, with fans celebrating his generosity and commitment to philanthropy.
An X user, @omerihe, expressed appreciation, writing, “Helping over 500 motherless babies is no small feat. Your foundation’s selfless work is a beacon of hope for those who need it most.”
Another fan, @ongo_ai, described Davido’s charitable work as “a canvas of compassion, brilliantly illuminating the shadows.”
Similarly, @FREDelicious1, an admitted supporter of a rival artist, acknowledged Davido’s efforts: “God bless you abundantly, Davido. I’m 100% FC, but you see this your gesture? God will reward you abundantly for it.”
Davido’s dedication to giving back has become a defining part of his legacy. On his 32nd birthday in November 2024, he donated ₦300 million to orphanages and anti-drug abuse organizations. This tradition began in 2021 when he famously raised over ₦200 million after publicly sharing his bank account details.
Through the Davido Adeleke Foundation, established in 2022, the superstar has continued to support vulnerable children, reinforcing his status as not just a music legend but also a philanthropist at heart.
