This situation has resulted in the displacement of residents and the occupation of homes and schools by the alleged herdsmen.

In recent developments, numerous farm settlements in Eha-Amufu, located in Enugu State's Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, have been overtaken by individuals suspected to be herdsmen. This situation has resulted in the displacement of residents and the occupation of homes and schools by the alleged herdsmen.

The affected communities include Abor Ishala, Mgbuji, Agu-Amede, Eha-Agu, and Umuhu. In Abor, for instance, nine farm settlements have been overrun, leading to residents fleeing to neighboring areas. Similarly, the Mgbuji autonomous community has seen 18 of its farm settlements occupied.

Residents have expressed frustration over the perceived inaction of both state and federal authorities. Despite reporting incidents to law enforcement agencies, including the Enugu State Police Command, there has been little to no intervention. The displaced individuals are currently seeking refuge in various locations, including the Enugu metropolis and with relatives in safer communities.

Efforts to obtain official comments from the Enugu State Government and the Police Command have been unsuccessful. The lack of response has further exacerbated the residents' sense of abandonment and insecurity.

This situation underscores the urgent need for decisive action to address the security challenges in Eha-Amufu and to support the displaced residents in reclaiming their homes and livelihoods.
