Following Nigeria's hard-fought victory over Rwanda, Super Eagles coach Éric Chelle has acknowledged the team’s effort but insists they must step up their game ahead of their upcoming encounter with Zimbabwe.

In a post-match interview, the coach praised the players for securing the win but pointed out areas that need urgent improvement. “I’m glad we got the victory against Rwanda, but we still have a lot of work to do. We need to be sharper in attack, more compact in defense, and maintain better control in midfield,” he stated.

The Super Eagles faced some challenges against Rwanda, including missed chances and lapses in coordination. Fans and analysts have also raised concerns about the team’s finishing and tactical discipline.

With the match against Zimbabwe approaching, the coach has urged the players to remain focused and build on their strengths. “Zimbabwe is a tough opponent, and we need to be at our best. We’ll go back, analyze our performance, and correct our mistakes before the next game,” he added.

Nigeria’s next match against Zimbabwe will be a crucial test, and fans will be hoping for a more convincing display from the Super Eagles.
