Lagos Police Uncover Baby Factory in Lagos, Rescue 10 Victims

The Lagos State Police Command uncovered an illegal baby factory in the Ijegun area, rescuing ten victims and arresting three suspects.
Acting on a credible tip-off, officers raided the facility and apprehended the alleged operator, 35-year-old Mariam Vincent, along with two accomplices, 23-year-old Orie Ruth and 18-year-old Ujunwa Ifeanyi.
The rescued individuals include seven adult women—Precious (24), Magdalene (25), Adaobi (23), Princess (22), Ifeanyi (25), and Amaka (26)—and three children: Destiny (7), Miracle (5), and Success (2).
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects abducted their victims from various parts of Lagos State to operate the illegal baby factory. The rescued victims are currently receiving appropriate care and support. The suspects have confessed to the crime and are expected to face charges following the ongoing investigation.
The Lagos State Police Command urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help combat human trafficking and related crimes.
